CD69 molecular target information overview
CD69 molecular target review
CD69 is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the C-type lectin receptor family and is also a member of the NK cell signal transduction gene complex family. It is the earliest surface antigen expressed after T lymphocyte activation. When expressed, it can act as a co-stimulatory signal to promote further activation and proliferation of T cells. CD69 is also induced to express on NK cells, B cells, macrophages, neutrophils and eosinophils. Activated T cells expressing CD69 are mainly CD8+CD45RO+, and are mainly induced by IL-15 and are related to contact with activated endothelial cells expressing ICAM-1. When exogenous stimulation disappears, the expression of CD69 on activated T cells can decrease rapidly. Therefore, the degree of CD69 expression by lymphocytes after exposure to a certain antigen stimulation can reflect the degree of cell response to the antigen.
