HAVCR2 molecular target information overview
HAVCR2 molecular target review
CD366, also known as TIM-3, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the TIM family within the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD366 is expressed on Th1, Th17, Treg, NK, NK-T, dendritic cells, monocytes, mast cells, and macrophages, but not on B cells and Th2 cells. CD366 regulates macrophage activation and is a negative regulator of Th1 cell function.

Human HAVCR2 target molecular function (prediction)
Predicted to enable metal ion binding activity. Involved in several processes, including natural killer cell tolerance induction; negative regulation of leukocyte activation; and regulation of cytokine production. Located in cell surface. Implicated in hepatocellular carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma. Biomarker of cystic fibrosis and pulmonary tuberculosis.

Mouse Havcr2 target molecular function (prediction)
Predicted to enable metal ion binding activity. Involved in several processes, including regulation of cytokine production; regulation of leukocyte activation; and toll-like receptor signaling pathway. Located in cell surface; early endosome; and immunological synapse. Is expressed in several structures, including dormal aorta; gut; liver; lung; and reproductive system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in hepatocellular carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma. Orthologous to human HAVCR2 (hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2).
