CD3E molecular target information overview
Overview of CD3E molecular targets
CD3, also known as T3, is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and plays an important role in antigen recognition, signal transduction and T cell activation. CD3ε has a molecular weight of 20 kD and is a subunit of the CD3 molecule, which is composed of 2 CD3ε, 1 CD3γ, 1 CD3δ and 1 CD3ζ (CD247) and forms a heterodimer with α/β or γ/δ T cell receptors (TCR). CD3 is expressed in all mature T cells, NKT cells and some thymocytes.
