Overview of PTPRC molecular target information
Overview of PTPRC molecular targets
CD45, also known as leukocyte common antigen (LCA), is composed of a class of transmembrane proteins with similar structures and large molecular weights (180 kDa, 190 kDa, 205 kDa and 200 kDa). It is widely present on the surface of all white blood cells (including lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes), but is not expressed in mature red blood cells, platelets, mature erythroid cells in the bone marrow and non-hematopoietic tissues. The cytoplasmic segment of CD45 has the function of protein tyrosine phosphatase, which can activate the tyrosine dephosphorylation on the substrates P56lck and P59fyn, and plays an important role in the information transduction of cells. CD45 is a key molecule for signal transduction on the cell membrane and is of great significance in the development and maturation of lymphocytes, functional regulation and signal transduction. The distribution of CD45 can be used as a classification marker for certain T cell subsets.
