  • CDH3 molecular target review

The cadherin superfamily includes many cell surface glycoproteins containing one or more cadherin repeat sequences, which are involved in calcium-dependent cell adhesion. Placental cadherin (P-cadherin) is a calcium-dependent adhesion molecule expressed in the placenta, epidermis and mammary gland. It plays an important role in the morphogenesis, growth and differentiation of tissues and cells, and plays a pivotal role in regulating morphogenesis and maintaining the structural integrity and polarity of adult tissues. In addition, it is also of great significance to the infiltration of tumor cells.
