IL3RA molecular target information overview
Overview of IL3RA molecular targets
CD123 is a 70 kD transmembrane molecule that belongs to the α chain of the IL-3 receptor. CD123 can bind to IL-3 with low affinity alone, but if it is linked to CDw131 (β chain), it can bind to IL-3 with high affinity. CD123 alone will not transmit intracellular signals when bound to IL-3, and requires the assistance of the β chain. CD123 is usually expressed in myeloid precursor cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, megakaryocytes, and some B cells.
