  • Overview of TIGIT molecular targets

TIGIT, the full name of which is T cell immunoglobulin and ITIM domain protein, also known as Vsig9, Vstm3 or WUCAM, is a member of the poliovirus receptor (PVR)/Nectin family and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is composed of the extracellular immunoglobulin (IgV) domain, the type I transmembrane domain, and the intracellular ITIM and immunoglobulin tyrosine tail (ITT) motif structure. TIGIT is limited to expression on lymphocytes, among which the most expressed are CD4+ regulatory T cells, CD4+ follicular helper T cells, CD8+ effector T cells and natural killer (NK) cells.
