Developmental stage：In the developing embryo, it is confined to the gut and caudal hindbrain. In caudal hindbrain, it is specifically expressed in a subpopulation of differentiating V2 neurons. Not detected prior to 12.5 dpc and is not found in motor nuclei. At 12.5 dpc, it is expressed in the ventral medial aspect of the medullary reticular formation (MDR).
