5× Protein-Free Rapid Blocking Diluent
Western Rapid Blocking Solution · 5-10 Minute Blocking · Low Background & High Signal-to-Noise Ratio
Product Overview
This product is a protein-free, high-efficiency, rapid, and low-background Western rapid blocking solution. The entire blocking process only takes 5-10 minutes, which can replace traditional blocking solutions such as non-fat dry milk and BSA. This product is formulated in TBS buffer containing an appropriate concentration of detergent and is a concentrated form that needs to be diluted with water in proportion before use.
This product can also be used for diluting primary or secondary antibodies in Western experiments, and is universally applicable to conventional antibodies, phosphorylated antibodies, and biotin-labeled antibodies.

Application Scenarios
Complete Western membrane blocking in only 5-10 minutes, replacing traditional non-fat dry milk and BSA
Suitable for dilution of conventional primary and secondary antibodies, phosphorylated antibodies, biotin-labeled antibodies, etc.
Product Advantages
- Low Background: Higher signal-to-noise ratio with clean background;
- High Efficiency: 5-10 minute rapid blocking;
- Universal: Can be used for blocking and as an antibody diluent;
- Compatibility: Compatible with conventional primary antibodies, as well as horseradish peroxidase (HRP), alkaline phosphatase (AP), and biotin-labeled secondary antibodies;
- Protein-Free: Protein-free design to avoid signal interference.
Operation Procedure
- Take an appropriate amount of 5× Protein-Free Rapid Blocking Diluent and dilute it with ddH₂O at a ratio of 1:4 to make 1× working solution;
- Wash the transferred membrane with washing buffer 1-2 times, 1 minute each time;
- Place the membrane in an appropriate volume of 1× working solution, ensuring the working solution fully covers the membrane (usually more than 10mL of working solution is needed for the entire membrane);
- Incubate on a shaker at room temperature for 5-10 minutes, then wash the membrane with washing buffer 1-2 times, 1 minute each time, and proceed to antibody incubation.
- Take an appropriate amount of 5× Protein-Free Rapid Blocking Diluent and dilute it with ddH₂O at a ratio of 1:4 to make 1× working solution;
- Prepare primary antibody working solution using the diluted 1× working solution, add an appropriate amount of primary antibody working solution to fully cover the membrane, and incubate on a shaker at room temperature for 2 hours or overnight at 4℃;
- Discard or recover the primary antibody working solution, add an appropriate amount of washing buffer to wash 3 times, 5-10 minutes each time;
- Prepare secondary antibody working solution using the diluted 1× working solution, add an appropriate amount of secondary antibody working solution to fully cover the membrane, and incubate on a shaker at room temperature for 1 hour;
- Discard or recover the secondary antibody working solution, add an appropriate amount of washing buffer to wash 3 times, 5-10 minutes each time;
- Proceed to the next detection assay.
Precautions
- This product is recommended for single use; reuse may affect blocking efficiency;
- Usually, blocking for 5-10 minutes is sufficient, and the blocking time can be extended to 30-60 minutes depending on specific conditions;
- The applicability of the blocking solution varies depending on experiments and antibodies; for special experiments, experimental conditions need to be tried according to specific situations;
- This product is for research use only.
