PVDF Membrane Pro Enhanced Version
Pro-Grade Performance Optimization · High Binding Capacity · Low Background · Tear Resistant
Product Overview
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) membrane is a widely used solid support for Western Blot experiments. It is also suitable for binding assays, amino acid analysis, N-terminal protein sequencing, dot and slot blot detection, glycoprotein staining, and lipopolysaccharide analysis.
This Pro enhanced series features optimized membrane fabrication and surface modification technology, delivering superior protein binding capacity and excellent background uniformity. The membrane thickness is precisely controlled at 150±20μm for enhanced mechanical strength, tear resistance and dimensional stability. Available in 0.22μm and 0.45μm pore sizes to cover protein detection across different molecular weights. The roll format measures 28×400cm with a total area of 11200cm², combining reliable performance with outstanding cost-effectiveness.
PVDF membrane is hydrophobic in nature and requires pre-activation with methanol before use. Methanol activation polarizes the membrane surface to facilitate binding with negatively charged proteins. The membrane features high mechanical strength and can be reused multiple times after stripping buffer treatment.

Product Advantages
- Superior Protein Binding: Optimized surface modification technology delivers higher protein binding capacity, producing sharp, clear bands for low-abundance proteins with improved detection sensitivity.
- Minimal Background Noise: Uniform pore size distribution effectively reduces non-specific antibody binding, resulting in clean backgrounds, fewer non-specific bands and highly reproducible results.
- Excellent Tear Resistance: Precisely controlled thickness of 150±20μm ensures outstanding mechanical strength. The membrane resists curling after methanol activation and withstands repeated washing and re-probing without damage.
- Flexible Format Options: Available in 0.22μm and 0.45μm pore sizes, with both bulk roll and pre-cut sheet formats to match different experimental throughput and application scenarios.
- Cost-Effective Bulk Roll: The 28×400cm large roll format can be freely cut to fit various transfer dimensions, delivering excellent cost per unit area.
Notes
- PVDF membrane must be activated with methanol or ethanol prior to use.
