Precast Polyacrylamide Gel
SDS-PAGE Electrophoresis Special · Ready-to-Use · Fast Electrophoresis in 30-45 Minutes
Product Overview
This product is a safe, fast, and high-performance precast polyacrylamide gel. Utilizing MOPS buffer or MES buffer, it enables superior separation of both medium-to-large and small molecular weight proteins. Compatible with mainstream electrophoresis tanks (e.g., Bio-Rad series) available on the market, it can be directly used for PAGE electrophoresis and Western blot detection. It saves substantial gel preparation and electrophoresis time, thereby improving experimental efficiency.

Product Features
- Safety: Eliminates exposure to toxic reagents, reducing experimental risks.
- Compatibility: Suitable for most electrophoresis tanks that can accommodate a 10cm wide gel plate.
- Stability: Automated gel casting technology ensures highly stable and consistent products.
- Convenience: Ready-to-use, no gel preparation needed.
- High Performance: Utilizes MOPS/MES buffer system for excellent protein separation.
Usage Instructions
- Prepare MOPS electrophoresis buffer or use our 20× Universal Rapid Electrophoresis Buffer (Product Code: RA10044).
- Remove the precast gel from its packaging and peel off the sealing strip at the bottom of the gel plate.
- Slowly and steadily pull the comb out of the gel plate.
- Secure the precast gel (with the shorter plate facing inward) in the electrophoresis tank. (If the top of your U-shaped gasket has a protruding structure, remove the gasket and reinstall it in the reverse direction so that the smooth side faces outward.)
- Add electrophoresis buffer to the inner tank of the electrophoresis apparatus until the liquid level is 5-7mm above the sample wells. Then add electrophoresis buffer to the outer tank to 1/3 of its volume.
- Gently rinse the sample wells with electrophoresis buffer to remove air bubbles and residual storage/protection solution.
- Load the processed samples into the wells. Start electrophoresis at 140-160V (not exceeding 200V). Electrophoresis can be completed in approximately 30-45 minutes.
- After electrophoresis, remove the gel plate. Insert a pry tool (tweezers or another metal sheet can be used) into the top, middle, and bottom gaps on both sides of the gel plate. Gently pry until the two sides of the gel plate are completely separated. Stain and destain the gel to visualize the protein bands.
Important Note: Tris-Glycine electrophoresis buffer MUST NOT be used with this precast gel!
Precautions
- Tris-Glycine electrophoresis buffer must not be used.
- The sealing strip at the bottom of the gel plate must be removed before electrophoresis; otherwise, electrophoresis will not proceed.
- This product is for research use only.
